Weekend capsule wardrobe
Posted on September 24 2015
Today marks the start of our blogging life and it's perfect timing really, as we're currently putting together a capsule wardrobe in a carry-on case, for our weekend away in Istanbul.
It's our first visit to Istanbul, so we're really looking forward to seeing the stunning architecture, eating delicious food and hopefully, a bit of haggling in the Grand Bazaar. We’re staying at, what we hear is the amazing, new Soho House Istanbul where there will probably be some lounging by the rooftop pool - rocking some of the new editions to our Monorails & Satellites Resort Wear Collection while we're there - all trans-seasonal holiday staples - so watch our Instagram page for photos.
So the big question, with a wardrobe full of favourite designer clothes, is what should we take? On the clothes front we are (of course) taking our current favourite Monorails & Satellites cover-ups, which should work well by the pool but also in the stunning Sultan Ahmed (Blue) Mosque, where being respectfully covered up is essential. So either the Soran Navy Trio Stripe Oversize Beach Dress, or the Coco Lurex Stripe Oversized Mini dress, should do the trick. We will also add in a pair of lightweight trousers to wear underneath for our sightseeing trips and of course our favourite bikinis for hanging by that poolside roof terrace.
There’s definitely room for our gorgeous K Jacques Delta sandals, which we used in our Moroccan photoshoot, earlier this year and our favourite Moscot sunglasses. Finally we need a bag to throw everything into, whether its sitting by the pool or strolling round the Grand Bazaar and we reckon you can't go wrong with a Celine Phantom. We should be able to squeeze that all into our case and hopefully leave space for duty free...
